Design / Website Design

Conversion web design that's built to work, not just to impress.

We map what each page has to do before deciding what it looks like. Structure first: information architecture and UX flow. Then style applied on top. UX research, architecture, wireframes and full visual design in four to five weeks.

The problem

Why most redesigns fail to move the numbers.

Most website redesigns start with visuals: a moodboard, a competitor screenshot, a slide the CEO liked. Everyone agrees the new design looks better. Nobody checked whether it says the right things in the right order.

Without a map of what each page has to accomplish, a design is a set of aesthetic decisions made in a vacuum. A gorgeous design can underperform the plain site it replaced, and it happens more often than agencies admit.

The quieter failure is the inherited structure: same navigation, same page order, same sections in the same sequence, because nobody questioned it. The redesign is a repaint. It cost real money and changed nothing that mattered.

Simple design is not the problem. Decoration standing in for strategy is the problem.

Our approach

Structure first, then style.

We settle two layers in order. First: information architecture and UX flow, mapped to how your buyer actually researches and decides. Then: the visual system applied to a structure that has already been validated. Strategy comes before pixels.

Layer one

Structure

Before anything is designed, we map the site: which pages exist, what each one has to say, and in what order a visitor needs to hear it. That map follows the buyer's journey, not the org chart. Conversion web design is not a persuasion technique bolted on at the end. It is a consequence of getting the structure right.

Layer two

Style

Once the structure holds, visual design has something to serve. Type, spacing, colour and imagery get applied to a skeleton that already works. Creative web design is not the enemy of performance. A site can be genuinely beautiful and still be the highest-converting thing you have ever shipped. But that order only runs one way.

How we work

One team, no handoffs

Design, development and growth run as one team. No handoffs, no translation losses. We set performance budgets before design starts, so speed is a constraint the design is built inside rather than a problem someone inherits later. We also build in brand design and can hand over development-ready files if you have your own developers.

What is included

Four to five weeks, five stages.

Every stage has named outputs, so you always know what you are getting and when. Discovery and UX come first, visual design starts in week three, and you get development-ready files at the end.
01

Discovery

We review your current site, goals and buyer journey. Outputs: site audit, goals brief, competitor scan. (Week 1)

02

UX Foundations

We map the pages, story flow and what each page has to say, all settled before any visual design begins. Outputs: sitemap, section structure, audience notes. (Weeks 1 to 2)

03

Wireframing

Content priority and layout logic for each key page type. Outputs: low-fidelity wireframes, content hierarchy map, page-by-page goals. (Weeks 2 to 3)

04

Visual Design

Your brand system applied to the validated structure, every page type at full fidelity across breakpoints. Outputs: high-fidelity designs, responsive breakpoints, interactive prototype. (Weeks 3 to 4)

05

Handoff

Everything a developer needs to build it exactly as designed. Outputs: development-ready files, component specs, asset exports. (Weeks 4 to 5)

What you get

  • UX research and information architecture: audit, goals, buyer journey and a sitemap that reflects how people actually move through your site.
  • Wireframes for key page types: layout logic and content hierarchy settled at low fidelity, where changes are cheap.
  • A full visual design system: type scale, colour, spacing, components and states.
  • Responsive design for mobile, tablet and desktop: every page type designed at each breakpoint.
  • Handoff ready for Framer first, and for Webflow or custom development. We are a Certified Framer studio, and Framer is our default platform. If you would rather use your own developer, the files are yours.

Common questions

Questions about website design.

Both, and it is your call. Urest runs design, development and growth as one team, so the same people who design your site can build it. If you already have a developer, we hand over development-ready files, component specs and asset exports. We build in Framer by default (we are a Certified Framer studio), and also in Webflow and custom React and Next.js.

Yes. If your information architecture is sound and the problem is genuinely visual, we can rebuild the visual layer on the structure you already have. What we will not do is skip the check. Discovery tells us whether the structure is actually working, because repainting a site with a broken structure produces an attractive site that performs exactly as badly as the old one.

Four to five weeks from discovery to handoff. If you are adding development, plan for 6 to 10 weeks end to end. The biggest variable is not our side of the work, it is feedback turnaround and how quickly decisions get made internally. Projects that slip usually slip in the approval gaps, which is why every stage has named outputs and a defined review point.

We quote per project, after the sitemap and scope are defined. No package tiers. The variables that move the price are the number of distinct page types, how much of the brand system already exists, whether you need copy support, and whether we are designing only or designing and building. A discovery call is usually enough to give you a realistic range.
